Course information.

The DAN Oxygen provider course will give you the necessary skills to confidently and safely administer oxygen to an injured person or diver. The administration of Oxygen as soon as possible after diving related injuries involving any form of decompression illness, (The Bends), embolism and near drowning incidents, significantly increases the chances of the patient making a full recovery.
During the course you will learn:
The mechanism of dive injuries.
how to recognize a dive injury.
The benefits of oxygen.
How to respond with oxygen, in order to provide immediate and effective first aid.
How to communicate with emergency medical services (EMS) and DAN.

Duration of Course. 4 - 6 Hours depending on group size.

Minimum age. 10

Prerequisites. All are welcome. Scuba divers, friends, boat enthusiasts.

Cost. £90.00 DAN only or £115.00 to include PADI speciality certification.

Retraining.
If you have already completed a DAN Oxygen Provider course, retraining is required every 24 months. There is a specific DAN Oxygen Provider Retraining programme. Please contact us for further details and price.

N.B. For divers wishing to gain the PADI Master Scuba Diver qualification it is possible to credit this course as a PADI speciality. Also for divers who are interested in becoming
PADI Divemasters this is an important qualification which is required for any one working as a Divemaster, Assistant instructor or in any situation which would be deemed by the HSE as a working situation.
